The SY6545 CRT Controller is capable of operating in a wide variety of modes. In particular, several different schemes for sharing the Video Display Memory with the system MPU may be accommodated. Each of these schemes has its own relative advantages and drawbacks. This note presents some detailed system implementations including schematics and listings for each memory sharing technique.
